crookneck pumpkins grown by omar beiler’s son, jr. crookneck pumpkins grown by omar beiler’s son, jr., who grows around 2,000 LBS for us up in lancaster, pa. we get 100 - 200 LB lots delivered every week throughout the fall for us to make pumpkin spice gelato and to make our homemade syrup for the pumpkin spice latte craze 🎃 we split them and roast them hard, caramelizing the f@*k out of the sugars and combining just the right level of spice .. fresh ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, muscovado sugar .. always dialing into that perfect balance .. which for us is a superior roasted pumpkin flavor & supported ever so deftly with a mix of fresh ground spices. thanks brother zach @treeandleafgarden for this photo & turning us onto this pumpkin, this gourd, this way of eating & living. forever & forever ♾️ #dolcezzagelato #jimmorrison #pumpkinspice #thisistheway
