It’s been a while since we hosted a pop-up in the factory space, but the wait was well worth it. ANXO, DC’s first cidery and pintxos bar will be opening in Truxton Circle at the end of this year, or beginning of next. Team ANXO wanted to give DC a glimpse of what to expect from their new venture. The result was a cider pairing dinner featuring Northern Basque-style cooking, and ciders from all over the world.
The feast was easily one of the best events we’ve seen at the factory, sold out in record time and kept diners on their toes. We did some questionable things (like cooking the ciderhouse ribeye on a firepit in the driveway) and things that warranted seconds (like creating burnt orange and rosemary gelato to be paired with the basque gateau for dessert).
